“ My boyfriend and I tried this place out for dinner tonight after years of following on Instagram. It was so worth the hour drive! Quite possibly the best meal I've ever eaten. We had the fried maitake mushrooms as an appetizer along with the raw oysters (which were so delicious we ordered another round of them). The fried maitake were sooo amazing and unique--unlike anything I've ever tasted. We also had a small sized tagliatelle pasta between the two of us which was incredible! So much flavour, great sauce consistency. And last, we shared the mushroom pizza! I'm definitely used to more cheese on pizza but the flavour was great and the crust was perfect. You can really tell these guys take pride in the quality and delivery of their product.. The presentation on every last dish was absolutely beautiful. Our server Ryan was fantastic... Very friendly and accommodating! He gave great recommendations and answered our questions flawlessly. You can tell when a server is proud to work somewhere and he definitely is. We will definitely be back! Can't wait to try the calamari :) ”
“ What an awesome experience! Shoutout to our server with the pizza tattoo — they took amazing care of us! Every single thing we ordered (dessert included!) was a total hit. The vibe here is just chef’s kiss. We randomly showed up with no plans, and it ended up being one of the best days ever! ”
“ We shared the kale salad, a pasta and a pizza And everything was excellent. I highly suggest trying the pappardelle pasta, it was the best pasta I’ve ever had. We finished off with tiramisu and it was also amazing!!! Will definitely be back ”
“ Some of the best pizza I’ve had in London. I’m not usually a Neapolitan style fan, but this was really good. Very thin but still crispy which is rare. ”
“ Madre has spoiled me for pizza. It's so good I almost don't want to make my own anymore! Their crust is so thin, yet holds its shape when you pick a piece up...crisp yet chewy at the same time, great bubbles in the dough...tasty like only a sourdough crust can be. They have the "usuals" which are above and beyond any other pizza place in London but also imaginative specials every day. The pastas are also incredible, and the apps are good too. Servers are always cheerful and the pace of the meal is great. Never rushed, but you don't wait too long for your food. Drinks are quite good. The only drink I'd like to see that isn't on the menu is a prosecco, but their aperol spritzes and margaritas are great so it's all good in the end! ”
“ Stopped by (walk-ins only) before the last Knights regular season game and it appeared many also had the same idea. With only two spots left we were seated at 5:15 pm before the line up started. We had a deliciously cold beer Black Swan Brewksi and shared the ground sirloin special and the Aldo pies. Both were super thin crust with high end toppings served in the true Italian manner with very little cheese and relying on the great crust and superb toppings to make the meal. Don't come looking for the "extra cheese" style North American overload, this is the truest Italian you will likely find in and around London. Enjoy. Btw, the pastas and bread all looked incredible as well!! ”
“ Pizzeria Madre is a must-visit in London, Ontario! The pizzas are perfectly crispy with fresh, bold flavors, and the gelato is the perfect sweet finish. Cozy atmosphere and amazing food—I can’t wait to go back! ”
“ Tasty pizzeria restaurant with small and specific menu, which is great. If you live in London this might be your best and closest choice to an Italian pizza. Drinks are great as well however very overpriced. The old fashioned drink that i ordered was full of ice. After removing the ridiculous amount of ice, the drink came down to half of the glass. (Scam and ask for ice on the side instead). Servers were quick and very friendly. 1 full pizza is enough for 1 person crust is thin so not filling but tasty. Both indoor and outdoor seatings are great. ”
